The ownership tussle between Nollywood director, Lancelot Imasuen and Nollywood newcomer, John Abua over the ownership of the multiple award-winning movie, Adesuwa, seems to be over now as John Abua has finally released the movie into the market. [kkstarratings]

The movie, which parades top acts like Olu Jacobs, Bob Manuel Ndokwu, Ngozi Ezeonu and others, was finally released on DVD yesterday, Monday, November 26, 2012.

Before now, Lancelot and John had involved each other over who owns the film. Lancelot claimed that as the director and producer of the movie, he owns the film, while John, who is the executive producer of the flick claimed he contracted Lancelot to produce and direct the film for a fee he paid him.

At the AMAA awards held in Lagos in April 2012, both Lancelot and John reportedly engaged each other at the backstage when the film won an award. Lancelot claimed he owns the award while John claimed he was the real owner of the award as the man who paid for the movie.
Adesuwa is a movie shot in Benin City, Edo State with Edo language spoken in the film. It was supposed to be shown at the cinemas but that didn’t come to pass because of the tussle.
