Gemma Collins ‘assaulted by boyfriend in Essex home

GEMMA Collins was allegedly forced to call the police over claims her boyfriend had beaten her up on Saturday night.

The TOWIE star claims convicted criminal ­Alexander Moss smashed up her Essex home and she had to be assessed by paramedics after he assaulted her.

It’s thought the incident happened as Gemma prepared to leave the country for Australia where she is set to take part in this year’s series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

“She was preparing to go to the jungle as a single girl. But she had an argument with Alex and he flew off the handle,” a source close to Billie Faiers‘ friend told the Mirror.

Essex police confirmed an incident in the area and released a statement which read: “We were called to an address in Warley near Brentwood shortly before 1.15 am today following reports a woman had been assaulted.

“Officers went to the location and the victim was assessed by ambulance paramedics but did not need hospital treatment.”

The 33-year-old was scheduled to film the TOWIE series 13 finale yesterday and it’s believed she will still fly to the jungle in time for the launch show on Saturday.

“Gemma has known Alex for a long time, they are very close but she is deeply hurt and distressed,” the source added.
